Good Sleep was a first: Optum’s first direct-to-consumer digital product, and one of the most human-centered design challenges I’d worked on up to that point. The goal was simple in concept and complex in execution: help people sleep better, and make the digital experience feel as calm and approachable as the product promise itself.
I designed the full responsive web experience from the ground up, balancing clean visual hierarchy with warm, accessible design that worked seamlessly across desktop, mobile, and tablet. Every layout decision was made with the end user in mind: someone tired, probably stressed, looking for something that actually helps.
This project was a turning point in how I think about design. It’s not enough to make something look good. It has to feel right the moment someone lands on it, and that feeling has to hold across every screen size and every interaction.
